One of the most innovative features in our ability to recycle, upcycle and reuse remnants of war, including concrete and rebar. We can incorporate the old broken-down concrete that is reminiscence of war to be part of the new structure, both cleaning up cities and recycling the material in a productive manner. Depending on the country, construction waste accounts for about 40% of total waste. In a place that has experienced war and damage, there is little use for the damaged buildings and mounds of concrete increasing that waste. As we grow, the goal is to incorporate more environmentally-friendly material and technology to help push our units to the most remote locations that need it most, reduce construction waste and provide longer-term housing to those in need. In addition, our controlled manufacturing process allows us to have a total waste of less than 5% because of our advanced designs and materials used, and in typical construction, waste hovers around 20-25%.
We started with addressing the problem of veteran homelessness, refugee and disaster relief housing. We designed and built a product that is affordable, addresses the concerns and is dignified for the people using it. We expanded our units to meet additional commercial and government customer needs, help us in the mission in building a better world, and be a good steward of the environment wherever we operate.
